Interesting I asked the two mechanics that I know that work on these all day every day as professionals in a busy shop...and they surprised me when they said the Merc Optimax 150---with the Yamaha or Honda 4 strokes a very close second.....

What struck me was their absolute disdain for the Evinrude Etecs.....they were ranting in unison about how over rated they were---always in the shop...and hard to fix....really a passionate disregard for those things.....

Made me feel good as an Optimax 150 owner.........
