I have experience in a 2006 620 with a 225 Opti Pro XS, Pro Kicker, and Maxxum 101. Yes, it is is a different hull from the 2005, and 2008. Yes, it will take some water over the bow when sitting in 1 1/2+ footers. All I needed to do was put the big motor in gear at idle, and that went away. I would not let it stop me from owning one, if the price was right.

I ran the boat on Bago for a week prefishing, and then in a 2-day Walleye tournament. Both tourney days we had wind, and 2-2 1/2 footers, sometimes a bit more. The harder I drove that boat, the better the ride. It got up on top of the waves, and really rode quite nicely. Not the best riding boat in the waves, But near the top. It wasn't the worst ride by a long shot.
