After utilizing the search function I have read all the stories of this rig having some potential issues with trolling into 2.5-3' waves.

Does this boat sit lower in the water vs a 2005 and earlier model or the 2008 hull and later? If it does I may prefer this hull over the later models.

My musky fishing style is casting and 90% of the time in Northern WI. I don't see the wave spearing as a big deal in the WI waters so I'm leaning towards a 620. I fish a lot out of a buddies Ranger 520vx and this is my dream rig but not so kind with kids and pan fishing.

Why a 620 then? My 690vs is great for casting but when the family tags along on pan fishing trips the 690 can get tight for space. The kids are only getting older and sometimes their friends tag along.

Maybe I keep the 690vs but have been looking harder and harder at a larger rig and this year class seem to be in my budget and if it is closer to a bass type hull better yet.

Please give me the scoop from guys that fished this hull.

Thanks
