I have a 80 lb 24 volt minn kota power drive. I had it out for the first time yesterday. It was working great but when i put it on full power it began to shut off on me. I could here a click coming from inside the motor housing when it died, then a few seconds later it would click again and come back on. I dont think its the pedal because it did the same thing when I had it on constant. There is some movement of the whole motor when its on high power and thought maybe there is a relay or switch inside that doesnt touch when it moves but that sounds far fetched because it runs for a while. Also, the batteries are in the far back of the boat. Maybe it just draws too much power on high and the wires are too long? Anyone else have this problem and figure it out? Any suggestions on where to start?
