With regards to the maps shown of Pewaukee above, was that lake mapped on separate occasions to get those particular contours, or was additional contour data extrapolated from the first map to create the HD version. Over the course of the next couple of years as I transition from LCX/first gen HD units, I just want to be sure that my unit update/upgrades, include mapping that is as precise and accurate as the lakemaster maps that I am used to running, particularily for some of the large flowages in WI and lakes in MN that I use them on. I have a 4 year old navionics chip in my unit right now, alongside a lakemaster, and the lakemaster is dead on for the flowages I fish here, while the nav is nowhere near. I suppose I'll just have to look up the lakes and the dates they were mapped for that particular chip to see how they rate for my waters. While mapping isn't the deciding factor, it will play a role in which units I ultimately decide on.
