OK, then I would suggest the best way to get better performance is to go to a SS prop, that you find works best on your boat/motor combination.

I'm not familiar with what Yamaha has to offer for props, but I would try to find a dealer that has a prop tryout program. Start with the same style and pitch prop you have now, and go from there.

I'm sure Steve(VMS) will have some good info for you.
