I have a mercury, but went to the Dominican Republic this past winter. Every boat there runs a Yamaha, I can guarantee you there's no PM done to the motors or anything for that matter. They use them hard, never hose them off, when it's time to take the boat out, they drive full speed at the shore and run the boat a ground......till the next day. After seeing every boat there in the salt running Yamaha's and how they beat the crap out of them I made my mine up that is all I will ever own going forward.
