Thanks for the information guys. Still no consensus on the gas tank size so it sounds like I will just have to run it dry and fill her all the way up to know for sure unfortunately.

That was an informative link about the mercury 4-stroke test. Hopefully I can see similar results. I know the RPMs seem to max at about 5000 on mine and the boat is going about 27mph (with 2 people, gear, and mostly full gas tank).
