And I here you, Jon, but I bought the boat with one on it already and it's peeling off - looks like hell. I have a feeling the gel coat beneath will be scuffed for better sticking, so I'm afraid I have little option but replace it. So I got a tip to try Zep "Big Orange" degreaser by a guy who removes some super tough adhesives on the daily within his business, but he orders it and I can't find any for sale at any stores... I'm going to try WD-40 and let it soak for an hour before attempting to scrape it off with a plastic puddy knife and my wifes hair dryer since I have the stuff for it, but next I'll try a tough degreaser. I hear the orange citrus versions of degreasers are a lot less abusive to gel coats - any truth to that, I'm not sure, but I'll take "words" for it in that regard.
