I just went through the same scenario. I got a Powerdrive off the cabelas showroom floor for a great price. The problem is it did not have the universal sonar. I am currently having the parts switched out for the Universal Sonar unit.

Having any kind of extra cable there was just too inconvienent for me. I think the whole gig is costing me about $250 including the install.
