Thanks for the info guys. I now have a new Bird 959 DI on the console, and one on the bow, with the Ethernet connection. I believe that I will need separate Lakemaster chips, as that info cannot be passed through the ethernet? I currently run one on the console.
I believe that having DI on the bow while I am up there fishing will help a lot since my boat is 19 ft. But I can switch over to both units being on the transom transducer while searching/cruising. It's my goal for this summer to have this figured out.
