The video that Yooper posted is how I installed my transducer.

I bought the HB adapter, and then decided that the transducer was going to be ripped off the first time I hit a stump or some rocks. I decided to get this shield instead. http://www.transducershieldandsaver.com/home/transducers?page=shop....

I think it is worth the extra money. The transducers are $260 to replace.
