Location: Waukesha, WI, USA | Not an expert by any means but have spent considerable time in buddies boat who has one. Great technology and has put fish in the boat for us (walleye). Here is my take. Get two transducers and use side scan if you want to see off sides of boat. The 360 excells in seeing in front of the boat. Bass guys gave it figured out by putting 360 bracket on trolling motor up front (20' difference) If you are a troller it is the best thing going. Can see the fish swimming away from boat off to the sides. Normally do not care what is behind me so 270° vision is what is needed. You can accomplish this by turning boat with side scan and two transducers. Hope it makes sense. If I had an extra $2 grand laying around burning a hole in my pocket, I'd buy it. Otherwise buy a $47 transducer with current unit. |
