There's a good possibility there's a pinched wire. Or it's rubbing on a sharp edge especially in a aluminum boat. Being the boat is aluminum if it rubs or pinches the boat can be providing the short. fuse doesn't just blow with nothing hooked up to it. I would inspect the entire cable. A little time now can save a big problem later a ruin a good day on the water. Check the routing of the cables and secure them well.
