The boat is a Smokercraft and is painted along with decaling from the manufacturer. I was thinking of doing my typical spring cleaning with "Scrubbing Bubbles" or a shower cleaner to get rid or help remove any water marks and grime but was curious would a decent wax applied help keep the boat cleaner throughout the year preventing these water marks and help protect the exterior from minor dock rash marks or anything.

As for waxing something that is metal at its base... Come on guys, think... Your car has a metal base and is painted over and those should be waxed... I dont understand what you are questioning with that comment.
