I have a 2004 Alaskan, 18 footer. Excellent boat. It would be easy to replace any wood, and that seems like a great deal. Mine handles rough water great, lots of room, shallow draft. I personally like being close to the water, vs on a deck. Deeper figure eights and easier to net fish. Without all that decking and extra weight, the capacity of great and people is huge. Only drawback for me, is the lack of waterproof storage. I use Tupperware containers for anything that needs to stay dry. Love the Alaskan.
