Location: Sun Prairie, WI		I installed one from cabelas a few years back. I ran a fused set of wires up to the block from the battery. I places the fuse panel under the console for easier access in the event that I blow a fuse. If it were by the battery Id have to tear apart the back of my boat to get to it. I will try to see if I can get a pic up here of the unit installed.
