depends on your climate and your waters and your style. Up here in the north on relatively larger bodies of water and potential for high wind and cold, between the two choices the obvious one would be the walleye type option. Walleye boats are also better suited for trolling. In the more southern locations or smaller waters in general, bass boats are awesome for casting as you got tons of deck space and low to the water (at the sacrifice of some of the musky gear storage space sometimes). So it really depends on your style.

and that is not to say that you cant use one or the other somewhere or anywhere.
