Location: Northwest WI		I have both in my boat. I run the Premium in a 997 up front and the Platinum in a 1198 on the dash. I ran the Premium exclusively for a couple years with no trouble but found areas that didn't have detailed (depth) coverage. I added Platinum last year because it had much better coverage on the Canadian side.

If I had to pick one I'd recommend the Platinum.
