The Navionics + is really just a subscription membership that gives you data access. You buy it and get a writeable card. Take it home, setup an account, and plug it into your computer. You choose what region you want and it will put it onto the card for you as long as there is enough memory. It also have has the Sonar Charts layer where available which gives 1ft contours vs typical 5 or 10ft. I believe the Sonar Charts is like the Platinum in terms of contours but the Navionics+ allows you to choose what regions you want. It is absolutely the best deal and quality. You get updates for a year, sonar log recording and updates, and after the year you don't lose the data so you don't necessarily have to renew after that. |
