If You check the rod lockers carefully, you will notice that many of them will have a stop plate so the rod tips hit the plate and can not go in any further. Some are Aluminum some are Fiberglass.. But many of the times that plate is the back wall of another Bow compartment. Which makes it very easy to enlarge your rod locker area. Simply mark the area carefully you want to open up and with a 3/8" drill bit drill a hole in each corner of the stop plate in your rod locker. If you measured correctly the holes you just drilled are in the 4 corners of the area you want to open up....Now simply use a much larger drill bit and enlarge the four holes, and with a ruler and a marker draw a line from each hole to make a square or rectangle......Now with a small saw blade just saw straight across from hole to hole...Then simply put a piece of auto Door edge trim on each side with a drop of epoxy......You will now have a at least a 8-9 foot rod locker.. .Mike
