I'm focused on Lund. This will be a combined family and fishing boat. I will use it on local lakes in Ohio, but want to use it on St. Clair, LOTW, Erie as well.

I've narrowed my search down to a 2075 Tyee. Seems very fishable, but family friendly at the same time. Also it seems big enough to handle the larger bodies of water I plan on.

I am looking to those with experience with Lund, what are some do's and don'ts to buying these boats.
So, I would like suggestions on the following:

Motors- Im looking at 250 HP Merc. Not sure of the big differences b/t the Verado, ProXS and the optimax, other than the Optimax weighing 150 lbs less

Trolling motors: Will 80 Lb thrust be enough or do I need to go 100? Is the iPilot and all that jazz really necessary?

Electronics: I'm really in the dark here. I'm familiar with HB, never used Lowrance. I was planning on bow and dash units. Where does the larger unit go? Up front so you can see it better, or on the dash? Sidescan, Downscan.... really cool, but do you use them that much??

Trailers: any must haves on a Lund trailer?

Any tips and advice are welcome and appreciated.

Many Thanks!
