I have the Pro chip and it is a great addition for those lakes included in the high-def category. From the Lowrance website, LOTH is included as high-def:

High-resolution 1-to 3-foot depth contours on more than 650 lakes in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin – plus Lake of the Woods and Rainy Lake.

Mapping cards will now share among units with the latest software update, but only HDS Gen2 units linked by Ethernet.
