I would go with the ipilot link if I could only have one. You can the use the follow the contour features to follow along any break lines. I have a side image unit and the ipilot link. I use my ipilot every single day, without fail. However, I may go days without paying attention to my side imaging, if I know the water well. The only bad thing about the ipilot link is that not all lakes are mapped out such that you can use the follow the contour feature. Also, you need a lake master chip to use follow the contour.

That said, I am no pro at either side imaging or follow the contour, so get some other opinions.
