Yep, agree that you should get it. I also agree to go the Terrova route. Having that foot pedal is very nice for reasons stated above and plus it gives you redundancy if your remote ever craps out. I had a V2 on the way but at the last second went with a Terrova. So glad I did. A couple of close friends have the V2 iPilot and wish they would've sprung for a Terrova.

After the first time out with the thing I couldn't imagine life without it. Spot-lock is wonderful. Recording tracks is great especially if you like to fish at night. The stuff I have saved is my night milk run.

Pricey yes, but well worth it. You should figure in some extra stuff beyond just the price of the motor. I dropped around $1500 just on the motor but upgraded the entire trolling motor set-up. Removable bracket, new wiring, new plugs, new batteries, stabilizer arm, etc. It came in just north of 2k but there are zero regrets.
