Yeah, I see the humminbird has some user settings that allows you to choose a "span" area. I like that. So it would appear that its imaging is completely independent of the position of the trolling motor and its not mounted directly to the drive of the trolling motor like the lowrance option is.
So, what I want to find out and havent been able to determine yet is if the lowrance one "spans" in the housing that is mounted to the drive of the trolling motor OR is it directionally dependent on the direction the trolling motor is pointing (IE it doesnt really span unless you turn the trolling motor).
They both look awesome and this is WAY more useable for me in the front of the boat than the previous model that Humminbird released.
The pricing for the Humminbird is really high at $1500. The Lowrance one is $499 I believe. Perhaps it does more, but that would rule it out for me.
