Andrew, I can't see where having that kind of draw would actually fry anything. I've got a portable aerator that I hook up to my truck battery during sucker season that I can run 12 hours without it even wearing the battery down. As long as you're running the boat from time to time during the day, I don't see a problem. If anything is going to fry, it's going to be the lightest gauge wire - presumably the wires to the leads on the aerator. Not that that's a good thing, but I wouldn't worry about blowing up your boat. If you're that worried, run it for a few minutes at a time and then shut it off. We've had suckers go 6 hours in the livewell in the fall before we remembered to turn it on and they made it through the weekend.
