Location: Plymouth IA		Yes I would put a fuse inline rated slightly higher than the Aerator draw. That way if something shorts in the aerator it will not do bad juju to anything else. If you want PM me about what is all connected and how and I will try and help out. My day job is a bit higher voltage often but still dc.
