Has anyone switched from foot control to hand control? I have a tuffy esox 1700 and absolutely love the boat. One of the few complaints I have with it is that the lid to the rod box is pretty long, so they had to move the pedestal mount pretty darn close to the bow of the boat. this makes it kinda hard to use the cable drive. I hate the powerdrive, so that isn't an option. I was thinking of going to the hand control trolling motor style so that I won't be fighting with the foot pedal all time. Anyone else have this issue, or went back to the old style of trolling motor?
