I know this is a lttle off the subject but it is important for you to know. I own a Ranger 681VS Fisherman with a 135hp Optimax on it. I have talked to the engineers at Ranger about a kicker for my boat and they don't recommend anything over a 6hp. Exceeding this would put to much weight on the transom. Just don't want you to run into any problems. Not that you can't do it just keep in mind how much weight your
transom can handle. Might want to call Ranger.
