Subject: Trolling motor batteries in bow

I recently upgraded to a 24v system and have noticed the extra battery weight is causing the back of the boat to sit lower in the water and can become a problem with a full tank in rough water. I am thinking about moving the trolling motor batteries to a storage area in the bow of the boat. Are there any reasons I should not do this? The only thing I can think of is making sure the storage area is well ventilated.
