I got the 1775 single console this year and love it. The layout is really nice especially with the optional aft flip seat. That flip seat doubles the back deck space to where it is like fishing from the front of the boat.

I have not run it on "big" water though to comment on that. It is a smooth ride compared to a lot of other aluminum boats I have been in including my previous Smokercraft. I went with the 1775 as you really don't gain much in the 1885 except 6" in the side rod locker space. I didn't think that was reason enough to step up in size.
