I always filled my oil before my week long LOTW trips and never came close to needing extra. I think one year I burned about 80 gallons of fuel up there. That was a lot of running and always at WOT! That's just a little over a gallon of oil. You'd have to do more running than fishing to run out of oil in a week.

There was one time I did need that extra gallon. Somebody went to fill my gas tank, and wondered why it only took a gallon! My remote oil fill was stamped "GAS", and well, you get the rest. Luckily, I had a spare gallon in my truck. I always carried a spare gallon in my truck. Usually ended up in someone else's boat, not mine.
