More than likely it's one of two things. You've got water in the fuel filter or you have low oil on the engine oil reserve. Both are easy fixes. Simply remove the fuel filter and dump the water out if there is water in it. To purge the engine oil reserve, turn the motor on, open the cap and allow the oil to come to the top.

If you look at page 52 and 53, it lists all warning signals. A continuous beep is more serious and more than likely would require a Mercury Tech to look at it.
