Hope its the cable so I don't have to pull transducer. Not sure why a cable would be be bad in such a short period of time. I suppose it could be any number of things. Cable could be defected or a problem with the installation. For instance, a cable tie was too tight and vibration cause a internal wire to break, it's rubbing on something sharp, it is pinched somewhere or a sharp bend/kink causing internal damage to cable. Should be a cheap fix in any event as it should be under warranty. Boat was bought in Feb. If dealer wasn't 3 hours away I would have them do the troubleshooting.

Got my friends control head last night so will start the process of elimination tonight.
