Hi V18 Ive had a bunch of issues with my birds. I have an 1197 side/down image and a 858 on the bow. you didnt say but i would imagine the unit is not new, i would recomend updating if it was. when you turn it on does it go right into the simulater mode and say transducer is not connected? are you running a "Y" cable for the side/down image? if you are unplug your Y and just plug in the side if it works fine you may have burned it out, or the other way just plug in your conventional sonar. When you turn it on can you hear the tick-tick-tick at all? if that does not work reset your defaults sometimes i have to do that after everytime i have unplugged the unit for a while, then it works great. PM me if reseting the defaults does not work
