Sorry, I didn't notice the jon boat part. Just aluminum would be correct. 5 HP motor doesn't weigh a whole lot, and the boat is probably not going to be in really rough stuff, so maybe the top two bolts will be enough? Trailering will probably be the biggest abuse the kicker will see.

I wonder if you could get a blindnut to go through both pieces of aluminum. Check your local Grainger or Fastenal. I think that would work.
