Subject: Trolling Motor Power/Battery Questions

Last Year I ran a Alumacraft 165 Lunker LTD Tiller with a Maxxum 74lb. I could go all day and even the next day If I forgot to charge, and I could knock people over if they were not paying attention on the highest setting.

This year I am using a Ranger 618vs that came with a Maxxum 74lb. Yesterday was disappointing.. Started at 5 AM and around 1 PM the batteries were fried going into the wind. I charge them every night on a three bank charger. One is new, and one is a year old. They are size 27's. Here is a picture of the top of them.
