Location: Red Wing, Minnesota		I use quality headlamps for that. I keep 4 in the boat with extra batteries.
I also always bring a rechargeable spotlight when fishing at night. Very handy for a lot of reasons.
Some guys used the spring-clamp work lights with a metal shade. Clamped to the gunnel and powered by a 12 volt battery.
