First thing I would do is make sure the sonar is not connected to either of the trolling motor batteries. Next, make sure your sonar leads are run all the way to the main battery, fused of course.

I seem to remeber a post somewhere a guy that had a program for making sure the trolling motor system was totally shielded. Steve Worrall, ring a bell with you?
