That won't work if this is a G series boat. The rails are placed inside the boat by drilling through and using a chrome cap nut on the outside of the hull. Drill using a new drill bit half the size of the hole you need, then follow up with the correct size drill. Ease it through the gel coat to reduce the chance of crazing around the hole. Seal it with silicone sealant on the threads when installing.
