I've seen folks use 3M 5100 adhesive as well. They will drill into the glass with stainless screws through the holes in the base plates on the rails, but everyone I've talked who has used the 3M product before has told me that the screws are only needed while the adhesive dries. Once it's on there, it's ON THERE. In other words, don't make a mistake in where you put the rails and then try to remove them again.

Apparently it's very good stuff, lol...
