There are a lot of really good 2-stroke oils out there. Red Line, Motul, and Maxima to name a few...all of which are rated much higher than Amsoil. I know Amsoil has a huge following in North Woods....but I wanted to chime in here with 2-stroke oils that people trust in their ultra-high performance 2-stroke engines. People with $20k-$50k in a 2-stroke engine either run Red Line or Maxima oils. These are mechanics who tear these engines apart after every race and can see week-to-week how much better these oils protect versus other products.
