I am glad I have 2 engines (so I can have multiple problems!)

Anyway, you guys helped me out on the other issue, so I figure I will post another question.

2003 Johnson 50 4 stroke goes up perfectly, occasionally (1 out of 10) I will hit the tilt/trim and I will hear just a click and she will not move. I had the switch replaced last year but that obviously wasn't the problem. I doesn't matter if I hit the tilt/trim button on the engine, on the throttle or up front at the casting deck. When she doesn't want to go down, she wont.

I read somewhere online that I could be the tilt/trim sensor being dirty. I don't know where that is and quite frankly......there is an excellent chance its dirty.

Just trying to be proactive on this one, as I know one day it will not be intermittent.

thanks, Rob
