i installed an extra set of rails on my 99 ranger 3-4 years ago and that is all i did - pre drill hole slightly smaller than screw and it will "bite down" pretty good when you tighten it up I personally didnt use lock tite but i always go around at least once a year and check, retighten if necessary to make sure they didnt back out a half turn or so from bouncing around - never had a problem- and that is how ther factory rails were installed as well- hope this helps
