I'm working on a Tuffy restoration, elbow grease is right. I spent 4 hours on just the transome. The starting point was chalky black oxidized gel coat. Rubbing compound 1st, fill gel coat holes, another rub compound coat, then mcguriers boat Restoration. (deoxidizer, polish, wax). The end result was no oxidation and mirror finish
