Exactly what I was thinking Pedro. A 10inch is huge
I agree that a Ram mount tends to move some when up right, even when cranked down tight… so I can understand the argument for not needing one on the bow.
However, in order to get the right viewing angle at the helm these Ram mounts are almost mandatory. I roll with two 10” at the helm and definitely need the adjustment they provide to help shoehorn them onto the dash. I had a problem with them sagging in rough water and had to spin one of the slotted centerpieces of the RAM Mount around to lock one in place while the other unit kind of leans against it… after relocating one mount and some aggravation getting it dialed in they don't budge now.
Regarding the bow unit, when it’s face down flat on the deck there is zero bouncing around that I've seen (I leave it that way when I'm only trolling and have watched it). However, it still has the same kind of minor sagging problem when it's left upright between spots. But I certainly wouldn't consider that flopping around, and it definitely does not bang into anything in my boat anyway. It's just a 2 second nuisance to adjust it back up after pounding waves, but is well worth it for me to be able to quickly adjust the angle of the screen depending on fishing conditions.
All this talk about 10” being huge, banging and flopping…………
