so i should only use these for suckers and walleye trolling then... I just hate the fact the boat has rails why didn't the previous owner not use rail mount rod holders... I did see most were using folbe and down easters some ram but just didn't notice any say the ball and socket style

I was hoping someone who has used these would chime in


I have 4 on my boat and LOVE them, EXCEPT for musky trolling. They work awesome for lighter trolling for walleyes, or for dragging suckers, as long as you have it set so the fish can take line out with a sucker. The infinite amount of adjustments make them better most all other holders for these uses. If/when I do musky troll I use salities.
