Does anybody know the cost difference between the two and is the E-tec alot louder being a two stroke. Thanks '''''''''''''''''''''''''' I put a SUZUKI DF 140 ( 4 stroke ) on my 17'7" HYDRA-SPORT boat after I blowout my 120 HP Johnson motor. the 120 ran my HYDRA AT 51 MPH. WITH THE 140 SUZY it has a hard time runing 50mph. that being said the SUZY is a much better motor. Now if I have to replace the 140 Suzy I will replace it with a 150 E-TEC. the new E-tec's are quieter and faster then the 4 stroke Honda's ,Mercury, and Yamaha's and the E-Tec hase more than 100LBs. less weight than the 4 strocks. I have fished out other friends boat's , a 250hp E-TEC , A 170 HP. AND A 150 HP. E_TEC's all three were very quiet and fast. I like the 4 strokes but they are way to heavy for the hp they put out. Marv.
