I have vinyl flooring on the main floor and carpet on the decks, and no it is not slippery when it gets wet. Snow I would say probably yes, as even carpet tends to get slippery when the flakes start flying. I will tell you it stays much cleaner and is easier to clean when it does get dirty. As for snap in carpet, any good upholstery shop (like the one I work at) can pattern your floor and get it custom built for your boat. We do quite a few every year, replacements and customs.
